Billtrader was founded in 2015 with the vision of solving the cost and efficiency challenges for IP firms related to making payments and being paid by foreign agents.

Today we manage transactions with more than 1,000 global IP firms and have processed more than 30,000 bills valued at over $50m.

The Billtrader platform enables IP firms to streamline the accounts payable and receivable processes, as they send and receive money from around the world, by automating data capture, payments, notifications, and reconciliation.

Billtrader is brought to you by Justin Simpson and the team that built inovia, the online patent filing platform.

It was whilst inovia was growing that the costs and complexities of moving money around the world between patent firms became very apparent. When Justin sold inovia in 2013, he founded Billtrader to address these costs and complicated internal accounting processes.

The Billtrader Group has subsidiaries/branches in Australia, the UK, the USA, Canada, Singapore, Europe, Hong Kong, Japan, and China.
